Visionary
(Blindfolded) I want to build a wall. But I cannot see. Can anyone help me to build this wall?

Interpreter
I can see. Can I help you ?

Visionary
I need to build a wall, but I'm not sure how big it should be.

Interpreter
What you need is a wall six metres long, by one metre high.

Visionary
Can you build it for me?

Interpreter
No, I'm not a builder, I'm an interpreter. We need someone to help us draw up plans. Is there anyone who can help us build a wall?

Engineer
(Enters lame) I am an engineer. Can I help you?

Interpreter
We need to build a wall. It needs to be six metres long by one metre high.

Engineer
You'll need a clay foundation, with nine-inch bricks, and mortar to hold it together. Let's see....six by one metres...that's 512 bricks all told. Here are the blueprints I've drawn up.

Interpreter
Can you build the wall for us?

Engineer
No, I can't. We need someone who can supervise the job for us. Is there anyone who can help us build this wall?

Supervisor
(Arm in sling) I'm a supervisor. Can I help you?

Engineer
We need to build a wall. It's to be six metres long and one metre high ... see, here are the plans.

Supervisor
You'll need a quantity surveyor, a brickie, mortar, and I think those new coloured bricks would be ideal for this job.

Engineer
Can you build the wall for us?

Supervisor
No, I can't lift anything. But I know where to get labour and the best deal on supplies. Leave it to me. (Picks up telephone.) Hello, Labour Exchange! Send me over a brickie, immediately. Thanks.

Brickie
(With wheelbarrow and bricks) Hello, I hear you need a brickie.

Supervisor
We need to build a wall. Now I want the foundation just there, six metres long. After you've prepared that, can you lay those bricks to a height of one metre?

Brickie
Sure thing, mate! There, is that what you want?

Supervisor
(To Engineer) Is that what you want?

Engineer
(To Interpreter) Is that what you want?

Interpreter
(Takes Visionary by the hand) Is that what you want?

Visionary
(Feels wall) Yes, that's it. Together, we have built a wall.
